It’s been a few weeks since we heard from Gabby so here is a link to her last chapter, which you may want to read so you remember the dragon dream. :)
CHAPTER 59: GABBY: Open Eyes
The medical room buzzed with the various equipment attached to me. I finally looked at Mark. Help me, Lord. This is so hard. I don’t want to see him or talk to him. I’m not ready. Tears were streaming down his face as he looked back and forth from me to Nathan and Sunny.
Nathan had told us about his dragon dream from a few weeks ago, and today I was going home. The more I thought about the dream and talked to Anna about everything that had been happening in our town, the more I realized we’d all been duped.
We’d been duped.
And Mark and I’d been duped by the enemy who used Angela to hurt us. But still, that was our fault. I almost felt sorry for her—almost. We’d allowed this woman into our lives and paid dearly for it. And I nearly paid with my life. I squeezed the little hands of my children. I loved these little ones. I put my head against my son’s head and breathed in the smell of this little boy I loved so much. My little boy and my little girl almost had to grow up without a mother. A lump of unshed tears formed in my throat. “I love you, baby,” I said to both of them. “Mommy’s not going anywhere.”
Then I looked at Mark. I was still angry with him and extremely disappointed--to put it mildly--but I still loved him. “Mommy’s not going anywhere, and in fact, she’s going home with all of you today,” I said, looking into Mark’s eyes, and he wept.
Love forgives.
Jesus said in Matthew 6: 14, “And when you pray, make sure you forgive the faults of others so that your Father in heaven will also forgive you. (15) But if you withhold forgiveness from others, your Father withholds forgiveness from you.”
